Hilary Eisen
Public Lands Advocate, Wyoming

Hilary is GYC’s Public Lands Advocate in Cody, WY. She is working to conserve key lands in the Cody area; both on the Shoshone National Forest and in areas managed by the BLM, and is coordinating with federal agencies and local stakeholders to balance energy development with habitat conservation.

Hilary grew up in Billings, MT and ventured to Middlebury, VT for college, obtaining a joint degree in biology and environmental studies in 2006. After experiencing life in the East she quickly moved back to the Greater Yellowstone region following graduation. Prior to joining the GYC staff Hilary spent her summers working on Forest Service trail crews and as a wilderness ranger in the Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness, and her winters assisting with wildlife research in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, and Kananaskis Country, Alberta.

Hilary enjoys climbing rock and ice, scrambling up mountains, exploring the backcountry on foot or skis, riding her bicycle, reading, and baking.
