Ian Bonner
Blackfoot River Intern

Ian is currently compiling information on the Blackfoot River in Idaho, and the wildlife dependent upon this river.  He is working out of the Idaho Falls office and will be working with us through August 31.

Marv Hoyt
Idaho Director

Marv is a long-time conservation activist. He has worked for the Greater Yellowstone Coalition since 1995 and is currently the Idaho Director in the Idaho Falls office. Prior to joining GYC in a staff position, Marv served for six years on the Coalitions board of directors. He has also served on the boards of several other conservation organizations including the Idaho Conservation League and TU.

Marv previously worked for Kiewit Mining and Engineering as a Special Projects Manager and worked for Morrison-Knudsen Company (Washington Group) as a Senior Environmental Engineer. Prior to his position with GYC Marv worked for as a Senior Environmental Engineer for the Idaho Transportation Dept.

Marv and his wife Emily have two children. Their son Zac is a marine biologist and works for the Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game in Petersburg, AK. Their daughter Jenn recently earned a Masters in paleoecology at the Northern Arizona University. She and her spouse live in Salt Lake City where Jenn is pursuing a doctorate in paleoecology at the University of Utah.

Marv and his wife Emily have two children. Their son Zac is a marine biologist in southeast Alaska.  He is working on a three year research project on sea otters while pursuing his Ph.D at the University of Alaska. Their daughter Jenn is a paleoecologist. She, her spouse, and their son live in Salt Lake City where Jenn is pursuing a doctorate in paleoecology at the University of Utah, while Miah attends Utah State where is working on his Master of Fine Arts in photography.
